Non-operation of Well L1, Sitio Kamagong, Lahug Cebu City because of scheduled VECO power service interruption
AREAS AFFECTED :
LOW PRESSURE TO NO WATER Sanjercasville, Sudlon, BC Homes, Fulton Street, Cebu City
 


                  MCWD apologizes for any inconvenience that this interruption may cause our consumers. This water service interruption is needed to improve the delivery of our service.  Our personnel will exert extra efforts to finish the activity on schedule or ahead of schedule to restore the water service. 

                Except for other developments, this water service interruption will push through as scheduled.  However, this  does  not include other interruptions resulting from unexpected power failures and/or emergency mainline leak repairs or building up of water pressure.  Consumers are advised to prepare for the scheduled interruptions by storing water.

Notice to the Public  

There are no agents authorized by MCWD to accept reservations or to follow up water service applications.

No MCWD employee in the field or office ( whether a plumber, driver, meter reader, works engineer, project inspector or legal investigator, etc. ) is authorized to collect or receive payments for the processing of water service applications and other payments related to MCWD services.

The Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) sat down for a Strategic Planning on Sanitation as part of the ADB’s Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project (UWSSP) Project Preparatory Assistance (PPTA). This was held in Golden Prince Hotel, Cebu City on September 19-21, 2011.

New mall connects water line with MCWD 


A newly constructed mall called J Centre sources out its water supply from MCWD.
The agreement was formalized with a signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with MCWD and Everjust Realty Development Corporation (ERDC), owner/developer of J Centre, on September 14, 2011 in the MCWD building.   Continue...


CHAC works on Buhisan markers

As preparations for the centennial celebration of the Buhisan Dam continues, the Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission (CHAC) coordinated with Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD) for the plan to put up centennial markers at the Buhisan Dam.

CHAC commissioned a group of architects headed by Melva Java to design these markers in honor of the founders of the Buhisan Dam project set up and completed in November 1911 and inaugurated in February 1912. The honoring will be one of the highlights in the centennial program in 2012.
