With the resumption of the limited face-to-face classes, the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) donated essential health supplies and used drums to Budlaan Integrated School in Barangay Budlaan, Cebu City to help protect the students and teachers against Covid-19.

With a population of 600 students, only about 100 are chosen to report to classes, but the school strictly implements health and safety protocols to protect everyone from the risk of the coronavirus.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), MCWD donated three bottles of spray alcohol, three gallons of alcohol and 12 boxes of face masks that the teachers and students can use while in school.

And since handwashing is one of the defenses against Covid-19, MCWD’s Public Information Head Edna Inocando also turned over used drums for rainwater harvesting and water storage especially for handwashing for anyone who enters the school premises.

The Budlaan Integrated School asked for support from MCWD during a convergence of stakeholders where a list of the school’s needs where presented last May. Master Teacher Elenita Bravo said MCWD’s support is vital to the school’s face-to-face
