Inocando (standing, 2nd from left) and staff.

In time for the face-to-face classes of Carreta Night High School in Cebu City on August 22, 2022, the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) donated essential items that the students can use to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus.

This initiative is part of MCWD’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which aims to contribute in creating a positive learning environment to the communities within its service area.

The items donated include 25 boxes of face masks, two disposable surgical gloves, two gallons of alcohol, one gallon disinfectant and four alcohol dispensers that were turned over during the Parents and Teachers Meeting on August 19, 2022.

According to School Principal Jocelyn Magdalaga, each class has a maximum of 40 students and will be given a face mask each during classes. She also said that the school conducts disinfection once a week for every classroom to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Water supply in the said school comes from MCWD, which is safe for drinking.
